چکیده
Abstract Tendons are composed of a heterogeneous cell environment, with Scleraxis-lineage (ScxLin) cells being the predominant population. Although ScxLin required for maintenance tendon homeostasis, their functions during healing unknown. To this end, we first characterized spatiotemporal dynamics healing, and identified that overall pool continuously expands up to early remodeling phase. better define function late proliferative phase inducibly depleted from day 14-18 post-surgery using Scx-Cre; Rosa-DTR mouse model, local administration diphtheria toxin inducing apoptosis in tendon. At D28 post-surgery, tendons (DTR) had substantial impairments structure function, relative WT, demonstrating importance healing. Next, bulk RNAseq was utilized identify underlying mechanisms were impaired depletion revealed induced molecular morphological stagnation process at D28. However, transient, such by D56 mechanics DTR not significantly different than wildtype repairs. Collectively, these data offer fundamental knowledge on roles
